One of Hong Kong’s brightest and most creative giant puppet parades returned to the streets of Lee Gardens on 12 November 2016 as a part of the renowned Standard Chartered Arts in the Park Mardi Gras.
With the collaboration between local artists and the UK-based Lantern Company, the magical characters from A Midsummer Night’s Dream have come to life as giant illuminated puppets and led everyone into Shakespeare’s fantasy fairy forest!
A Midsummer Night’s Dream Puppet Theatre had taken place a week before the Night Parade to offer audiences a first glimpse of the classic tale. Captivating handcrafted puppets brought to life the story between lovers, friends, foes and fairies.
