The 2017 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (Hong Kong) held exhibitions at 9 highly accessible vacant or shared urban locations and cultural hubs in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Themed ‘City Smarts: Density 2.0′, it highlighted the smart design of Hong Kong architecture and provided a public interactive platform for raising wider awareness and a greater general understanding about the sustainability of Hong Kong architecture and city planning.
The “5 Senses City Jukebox” was the Biennale’s closing ceremony. It was held on February 11, 2018 and transformed Pak Sha Road into a street carnival. On the event day, the customs of the Chinese New Year were showcased, including wishing trees for prayers, giant mah jong tiles for selfie enthusiasts, as well as traditional Chinese snacks and live band performances.
